The Victorian Government has extended the lockdown restrictions for the Metropolitan Melbourne and eased some restrictions for regional Victoria as of 11:59pm on 3 June 2021. These settings will remain in place until 11:59pm on 10 June 2021.

METROPOLITAN MELBOURNE

There will be five reasons to leave home:

  • Food and supplies
  • Authorised work and permitted study
  • Care and caregiving, including medical care or to get a COVID-19 test
  • Exercise, for up to two hours and with one other person
  • Getting vaccinated.

Exercise and shopping will be limited to ten kilometres from home. If there’s no shops in your 10 km radius, you can travel to the ones closest to you.

Face masks will also need to be worn inside and outdoors – everywhere except your own home.

REGIONAL VICTORIA

There are no restrictions on the reasons to leave home.

  • Schools and universities can resume face-to-face learning for all year levels.
  • If you can work or study from home, you should continue to do so.
  • Workplaces like offices can increase to 50 per cent or 20 people, whichever is greater.
  • You can attend work in metropolitan Melbourne only if you are an authorised worker or work for an authorised provider.

Face masks must be carried at all times and must be worn indoors. You do not need to wear a mask in your own home or if a lawful exception applies.

Face masks are required outdoors where physical distancing of 1.5m cannot be maintained, for example, at a busy open-air market.
